Robin rejoined Paletz Law in January 2019 and is the Chief Administrative Officer as well as a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney. She brings with her over 25 years of experience in the legal industry, where she has also worked in the areas of claim and delivery, and family law.
Robin also has over a decade of experience in bankruptcy law, which she gained while working at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She had the honor of serving as one of the Bankruptcy Court’s shared judicial law clerks, which enabled her to work with multiple Federal Judges including Chief Judge Phillip J. Shefferly, Hon. Thomas J. Tucker, Hon. Daniel S. Opperman, Hon. Walter Shapero, Hon. Steven W. Rhodes and Hon. Marci B. McIvor. In her capacity at the Bankruptcy Court, Robin worked side-by-side with the judges as they oversaw both consumer and business bankruptcy cases as well as adversary proceedings. She is also a member of the Detroit chapter of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association.
While working full time in the legal field, Robin graduated from Walsh College, where she earned a B.B.A. with a major in Marketing. A lifelong learner, Robin decided to continue her education to become an attorney. She earned her J.D. from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court, the Student Bar Association and the UDM Law Review, where she was selected as the Editor-in-Chief in her final year. In addition, Robin is also a recipient of the Medal of Excellence from the American Bankruptcy Institute, which recognizes a select number of students who demonstrate excellence in bankruptcy coursework and scholarship. All of this culminated in Robin’s selection as a member of the National Order of Barristers.
Above all, Robin also takes time to give back to the community. For the past several years, Robin has been an adjunct faculty member at Baker College, where she has taught courses on bankruptcy and business law. She is also a member and an active supporter of her local church.
